Mother's Day Gifts - Every year my family always ask "what do you want for Mother's Day?" I can't ever seem to think of anything creative. This year I told them I wanted lots of plants for our vegetable garden. Well, see, my husband doesn't do anything small. He came home with 64 tomato plants, 8 pepper plants, 6 cauliflower plants, 6 broccoli plants, 6 egg plants, 8 yellow squash plants, 8 zuchini plants, butter nut squash plants, and 6 each of 2 kinds of cabbage!!!! He also spent several hours on Saturday redoing our "kitchen garden." He cut down trees and created a kind of Monticello-type terraces!! It looks awesome. He is an amazing man. He truly knows my love language!!!

Mother's Day - 2011
Here I am again trying to do the blog thing! Yesterday was Mother's Day. As we sat in church our pastor challenged us as mother's to leave a legacy to our children. I hope that I have been doing that. But it was a great reminder!! Pastor used Titus 2:4-5 as his scripture! This scripture encourages us to love our husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to "Be Busy at Home." My husband thought, "what a great name for a blog." So here we are!!
